Welcome to The Juggle on Substack, powered by Grazia magazine
Parenting made simple and easy – ok, who are we kidding? But much like our Instagram (you can follow us here), we wanted to create a safe space here on Substack for parents trying to do the impossible - raise a family, hold down a job, maintain their friendships and relationships, all without losing sight of themselves.
We’ve built up a fantastic community over on Instagram, and Substack gives us more space to deliver you the content you love, straight into your inbox each week. Expect deep dives into the parenting topics that keep us all awake, as well as shopping recommendations and parenting hacks that *might* just make your week go that little bit easier.
But The Juggle is nothing without its readers. So whether you’ve been following us since the beginning on Instagram, or you’ve found us for the first time today here on Substack, let us know what you think of the content. And look out for our upcoming chat, where the conversation will be all yours.
How much does it cost to join The Juggle on Substack?*
Right now, everything on The Juggle Substack is available to access free of charge but we may start creating content for paid subscribers only as our Substack develops.
Who writes for The Juggle Substack?
Like many of you, the parents on Grazia’s team know how to juggle. You’ve got Editor-In-Chief Hattie who is often found trying to negotiate the school run before a commercial meeting (made much easier now that everyone’s wearing trainers to work), or our Associate Editor Jane McFarland who spent much of the last month trying to work out what to wear to fashion shows when seven months pregnant (short answer: get a bump suit).
From morning conference on three-hours sleep (and not in a fun way) to toddler meltdowns in the middle of Teams meetings, the juggle is real and we’re here to share, commiserate and maybe even offer up a bit of advice along the way, along with our fantastic roster of contributing writers. Their weekly long reads will land directly in your inbox every Monday morning (yep, just after the first school drop off of the week), and come back throughout the week as we share our unfiltered thoughts and notes along the way.
Who are we?
Rebecca Holman
Rebecca is Grazia's Digital Director, with two boys under six. Hasn't had a full-night's sleep in over five years and can probably tell you the name of every single Bluey episode, in the exact order they appeared on iPlayer.
Joely Walker
Joely Walker is Grazia's Head of Beauty and mum to a wonderfully wild toddler who charms everyone he meets but still doesn't sleep through the night. Lullabies For Baby Sleep 2025 is her most listened to Spotify playlist.
Nathan Higham
Nathan Higham, Grazia's Picture Director. Dad of a 9 year old, adopted son with ADHD and special educational needs, muddling through parenting whilst juggling two full-time jobs with my husband.
Anna Dewhurst
Anna Dewhurst, Grazia's Associate Picture Director and mother of two very busy IVF boys. My eldest is a Roblox-obsessed 8-year-old (god help me) and my youngest is an accident-prone, but very sweet, almost-2-year old, who is never without a bruise on his forehead.
Lauren Holleyoake
Navigating solo parenting unexpectedly, after my husband died when my daughter was 10 months old. Nearly 6 years on we’re figuring it all out - the highs and lows - month by month.
Jenny Croall
Production director at Grazia and mum grappling with the tricky teen years. I have two children aged 14 and 18, one of each flavour. Let me tell you, it doesn’t get any easier…
Annie Vischer
Annie is Grazia's Beauty Director and is a first-time mother to her one-year-old daughter. Loves The Gruffalo (no, really), Zara Kids and JellyCats. Hates micro-dosing every virus known to man via her nursery.
Anna Silverman
Anna Silverman is Grazia’s Features Director and mum to an adrenaline-junkie three-year-old girl who regularly gives her parents a heart attack when she bombs down hills at 20mph on her scooter. She has another on the way (a boy) and assumes, perhaps naively, that life can’t possibly get doubly as busy… right? RIGHT?
Hattie Brett
Hattie is Grazia’s Editor In Chief and mum to two daughters, now 10 and 7. She grapples with how to explain to them her job is something she loves but often takes her away from them – and usually solves it with pure bribery. Also an expert in Keepers Of The Lost Cities characters, reversible sequin t-shirts and muting school WhatsApp groups.
